Bimetallic Flanges

Bimetallic refers to an object composed of two different metals joined together, typically used to take advantage of the distinct properties of each metal. Bimetallic strips are commonly found in temperature-sensing and control devices, such as thermostats. When heated, the two metals expand at different rates, causing the strip to bend. This movement can be used to activate switches or control mechanisms in various applications, including household appliances, industrial equipment, and safety devices.
