Flange Ring Type Joint (RTJ)

An RTJ, or Ring Type Joint, is a specialized flange design that utilizes a metal ring to create a high-pressure seal between two flanges. The sealing surface of RTJ flanges has a precisely machined groove into which a metal ring gasket is seated. When the bolts are tightened, the ring is compressed into the groove, creating a strong, leak-proof seal. RTJ flanges are commonly used in high-pressure and high-temperature applications, such as in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation industries, where a robust and durable seal is required.
